About

This is your chance to apply for a Summer 2025 start in our MFA in Dance—a graduate Dance program that is committed to personal, professional, and artistic growth.

Saint Mary's MFA in Dance is a low-residency program that offers a multidisciplinary terminal degree in Creative Practice that can lead to tenure-track teaching jobs, administrative positions, or other roles in the professional arts world.

Students in our program can work from anywhere—Fall and Spring semester courses are online while two in-person intensives are held on SMC's campus during June/July and January. Summer intensives typically last four weeks while January's intensives are held half in-person and half online. We also offer on-campus housing for those who are not located in the Bay Area.

Classes begin on June 2nd and check out our Prospective Student page for more information about application requirements and timelines before our Priority deadline!
